The 2am problem, solved for about the price of takeout. You get up, you do not want the bathroom light, and you also do not want to guess. This hooks over the rim of the bowl on a bendable arm and lights the inside of it, and only the inside of it.

A sensor picks you up as you come through the door, from about ten feet out, so the light is already on by the time you get there. Walk away and it goes off again. There is no switch, and nothing to remember at the end.

It only wakes in a dark room, so it stays off through the day and does not run the batteries down for nothing.

The button on the front sets the color. Sixteen of them, and it will cycle through the lot if you let it, but the more useful trick is holding it on one. Pick a deep amber or a soft red and you get the light you need without the jolt of white tile at three in the morning.

The arm is soft PVC, so you bend it once to sit on your rim and leave it. The body is 4.6 cm across and it lifts off in one piece for cleaning.

Buy one for the main bathroom, or the pair if there is a second one upstairs.
