Who we are

This store is operated by Elstena ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order or using this website you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Placing an order

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we send you a confirmation email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if a price or description was published in error, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in US dollars and include no hidden fees. Delivery is free, so the price on the product page is the price you pay before any applicable sales tax, which is calculated at checkout.

We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order we have already accepted.

Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify's payment providers. We do not see or store your full card details.

Product descriptions and photographs

We describe our products as accurately as we can and state specifications on each product page. Photographs are representative. Some items, particularly the hand-finished ones, vary slightly from piece to piece, and we say so on those product pages. Colours can also look different from one screen to another.

If a product arrives materially different from its description, that is covered by our refund policy.

Delivery

We ship to the United States only, free of charge, typically within five to fourteen days. The full detail is in our shipping policy, which forms part of these terms.

Refunds and the trial

Our 30-night trial is set out in our refund policy, which also forms part of these terms. In short: if a light is not right for you, we refund you in full and you keep the item. There are no returns to post back, at any price. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

Using our products safely

Our products are lights for indoor domestic use. Please follow the instructions supplied with each item and the guidance on its product page, including the stated power type. Mains powered items are built for a 110 to 130V US supply.

Items containing batteries should have their compartments closed properly before being given to a child, and corded items belong on a shelf or a dresser rather than inside a crib. We are not responsible for damage or injury caused by use that ignores the supplied instructions.

Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Our content

The text, photographs, and design on this site belong to us or to our suppliers and may not be copied or reused commercially without our permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages.

Limits on our liability

We do not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we are established. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
